Today on The View, President Bill Clinton was interviewed on all things political, personal (like the Clinton Global Initiative, which by the way, has a badass Global Warming combat unit, and even fashion.

Upon greeting the View hostesses, President Clinton looked down at Whoopi Goldberg's shoes and commented, "nice shoes, Whoopi." Team Gspotting was REALLY hoping Whoopi would remark that they were Melissa Shoes made from recycled plastic, but instead quipped, "Oh these; they are plastic." to which the former Rhodes Scholar/US President said, "Pretty soon we're all going to be wearing plastic shoes."

Here's to hoping that's true, because really and truly, Melissa shoes are the jump-off.
