Shopping to Build Community? 45 RPM

We GSpotters love to shop. And we also love the idea of building community in alternative ways. Recently, we checked out 45 RPM on the Upper East Side in NYC. This mostly organic/ethical Japanese store is redefining what is means to shop, insofar as it feels like you are at a cross between an ancient tea ceremony and a textile museum. We had a ball with all the multi-sensory inputs, and hope you get a taste with the video.

I don't quite understand why so many of the green lines so darn expensive. How can we expect our whole population to start caring about going green when only the very wealthy can afford most of the stuff being sold?

Just my opinion
