Ode To Anti-Body Eco Beauty Products

As professional eco-friendly product experts reviewers, we G Spotters get to try our fair share of health/earth conscious beauty products. And in general, all of the swag smells nice, is sting-less if it accidentally gets in our eyes, and cleanses/moisturizes/tones yadda yadda. But every once in a while there is a product that quite literally changes our lives and this time, the life changer goes by the name of Anti-Body Lavender Sugar Scrub.

In an unprecedented display of exfoliating power and moisturizing rejuvenation, this product does it all. Never before have we used sugar for anything other than to sweeten tea/coffee, but apparently it is a staple in the beauty world. And the righteously awesome Anti-Body takes it to another level, as this is the first fair trade sugar scrub of its kind, sloughing and polishing even the ruddiest of winter epidermis. Seriously, after a shower with this scrub you feel so moisturized that lotion is completely unnecessary.

Go out and get this product. We sh*t you not, this will change your shower experience, forever.

C.L.A.S.S. Sustainable Style Unites The World

Recognizing that sustainability in fashion is not a fad- it is a way of life, Milan and London based sustainable style organization CLASS (Creativity, Lifestyle and Sustainable Synergy) has found its way stateside, to New York City.

Last week was the first CLASS event complete with delicious organic food, a round table panel discussion, and fabulous eco-fashionistas/advocates like Elinor Averyt of LEAF (Labeling Ecologically Approved Fabrics) working to create a unified labeling standard; fashion model Summer Rayne Oakes who releases her eco-friendly shoe line Zoe&Zac for payless Spring '09; and a representative from Italian renewable energy leader Relight who spoke about moving into the eco-fashion realm to achieve the 360 green lifestyle package.

It was a great night and here are some photos.

These sustainable fabrics and more are available to explore at the CLASS' Fabric Library

Pharrell "Green Phashion" Williams

Oh no he didn't~ Of course he did.

Pharrell Williams
of the Neptunes is just that dude: the skateboard real 'Ol G kid who makes everyone else look like they are working to hard to be cool.

And according to Women's Wear Daily, he's doing it again; this time joining up with Bionic Yarn as a part owner and major investor. Bionic Yarn is a NY based company that manufactures "revolutionary fabric" made from recycled plastic bottles .
